The VNA treats over 1,000
children annually by caring for new mothers
and babies, uninsured mothers and children,
and families coping with chronically ill,
terminally ill or disabled children.
As the public health provider
in 13 towns on the Cape, the VNA provides
health education, counseling, immunization,
interpreter services and mobile health screenings.
In response to the growing needs of an aging
population, the VNA provides an array of senior-specific
services, including some that are funded entirely
through philanthropic support.
The VNA offers care
and comfort, from diagnosis to pain management
to end-of-life services that include continued
support for the patient’s loved ones.
The VNA offers scholarships to individuals who cannot afford the training to become home health aides. The VNA also provides medical staff with education and training in specialty areas such as palliative care and diabetes.
The success realized through the integration of laptop computers in patient care has led the VNA to the latest addition to their technology program - the telemedicine system. A transformation in home-monitoring devices, the telemonitor uses portable equipment to monitor daily trends in patient health status and report that information back electronically to the VNA office for review.
Your generous support can
make a difference in the quality of care for
your family and your community.
