- Children
and Families. The VNA treats over 1,000
children annually by caring for new mothers
and babies, uninsured mothers and children,
and families coping with chronically ill,
terminally ill or disabled children.
- Community
Services. As the public health provider
in 13 towns on the Cape, the VNA provides
health education, counseling, immunization,
interpreter services and mobile health screenings.
- Palliative
Care and Hospice. The VNA offers care
and comfort, from diagnosis to pain management
to end-of-life services that include continued
support for the patient’s loved ones.
- Seniors.
In response to the growing needs of an aging
population, the VNA provides an array of senior-specific
services, including some that are funded entirely
through philanthropic support.
- Staff
Recruitment, Education and Training.
The VNA offers scholarships to individuals
who cannot afford the training to become home
health aides. The VNA also provides medical
staff with education and training in specialty
areas such as palliative care and diabetes.
- Technology
and Equipment. New developments in
technology appear daily, and the VNA is making
necessary upgrades and improvements to ensure
that clinicians can care for patients more
effectively.
Your generous support can
make a difference in the quality of care for
your family and your community.
