(Hyannis, February 12, 2008) Cape Cod Healthcare is pleased to announce today that two members of its Oncology Services program have recently received important recognitions in their respective fields.
James C. Chingos, M.D., FACP, Medical Director for the Falmouth Hospital Cancer Center at Mashpee, was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP). An ACP Fellowship is an honor achieved by those recognized by their peers for personal integrity, superior competence in internal medicine, professional accomplishment and demonstrated scholarship.
“It’s a significant honor,” Dr. Chingos said, “I’m delighted to have been elected an ACP Fellow. It is a memorable achievement in the career of any physician.” Dr. Chingos will be formally inducted and honored in a special ceremony at the ACP’s annual internal medicine meeting in May in Washington D.C.
