A Legacy of Care
The
Boards of Trustees of Cape Cod Hospital,
Falmouth Hospital and the Visiting
Nurse Association of Cape Cod merged
in June 1996 to expand and coordinate
health services Cape-wide. The result
is a comprehensive, regional health
care system that delivers a continuum
of quality care.
Cape Cod Healthcare
offers two acute care hospitals, the
largest home health services agency
on the Cape, a skilled nursing and
rehabilitation facility, an assisted
living facility, ambulatory care centers
and community health services and
programs supported by more than 450
physicians and 4,500 employees. Shared
resources, including cross access
to medical specialties, enable patients
to receive better quality care than
could be provided by any single affiliate.
Cape Cod
Healthcare Foundation was founded
in 1999 to secure and administer funds
for Cape Cod Healthcare. It remains
mindful of both the unique history
and identity of each partner organization,
today and in the future. Cape Cod
Hospital, Falmouth Hospital and the
VNA are equally represented by the
Foundation, and donors have the option
to restrict their gifts to the organization
of their choosing, or to support Cape
Cod Healthcare through unrestricted
giving.
